Service Description
Registration Closed - See you for summer camps! Tuesday afternoons 3:45-5:15 pm April 29 - June 24 $275 Supplies included, including individual sketchbook. Maximum 10 students to allow for 1:1 mentorship. No previous experience necessary; interest mandatory! In this class students will learn the fundamentals of drawing through a progressive approach, focusing on lines and shapes with teacher-led projects to build skills and confidence, and then transitioning to strategies for independent drawing. This course covers line drawing, light and shadow, blending, proportion, composition, expression, and more, while exploring techniques in pencil, charcoal, and various colour media. Each lesson focuses on realistic drawing to develop skills and focus while allowing room for creative play and personal expression. Our goal is to teach skills that will build confidence while fostering creativity and problem-solving abilities. Our lessons feature art history references, art theory and vocabulary, teacher demonstrations and personalized mentorship. All students use high-quality art materials so they have the potential to produce the same quality of work as the instructor. Photos are actual student work from this course.

Cancellation Policy
Please note that registered classes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable barring extenuating circumstances that will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Though not guaranteed, students who miss classes due to illness can occasionally be accommodated at another time. We aim for all students to be successful by attending all scheduled classes to the best of their ability, as classes are progressive and projects can take multiple weeks. If a class is cancelled by the studio due to unforeseen circumstances the student will have the option to either request a refund or attend a rescheduled class. Classes are non-transferable once the class series has begun.
