Service Description
Half-day camp runs from 1:00-4:00pm from Monday August 24th -Friday August 28th, 2026 For Ages 12+ $265, all materials included. Maximum 10 students. Experience the magic of printmaking! Learn about the fundamentals and history of printmaking methods and create and print your own images on paper, cards, and tote bags. This is a camp for creative teens who want to make their own prints! Students learn relief, intaglio, and photographic printmaking processes: linocut, drypoint, collagraph, and cyanotype (sun-printing), all incorporating visual art fundamentals like composition, negative space, value, and more. Students learn printmaking history, techniques, and vocabulary from an educated teaching artist (me! Jaye!) doing live demos and giving one-on-one suggestions, instruction, problem solving, and cheerleading. This camp allows students to bring their own independent ideas and images to work from to create work that inspires them. Students will have the option of printing in multiple colours on paper, greeting cards, and their choice of bag to take home. They are also welcome to bring their own t-shirts or other fabric items to print on. Each day includes 2 art making sessions with a mid-morning break where we will walk to Millenium Park or a local art-based business. Cancellation Policy
Please note that registered classes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable barring extenuating circumstances that will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Though not guaranteed, students who miss classes due to illness can occasionally be accommodated at another time. We aim for all students to be successful by attending all scheduled classes to the best of their ability, as classes are progressive and projects can take multiple weeks. If a class is cancelled by the studio due to unforeseen circumstances the student will have the option to either request a refund or attend a rescheduled class. Classes are non-transferable once the class series has begun.
